Vancouver, BC Screening

  • Canadian Music Centre #301, 280 Maple Street Vancouver, BC V6J 4P9 Canada (map)

Hosted by Thomas Beckman at the Canadian Music Centre

Join us for an evening of music and film. Performing live, the acclaimed Borealis String Quartet will show us why they are one of the most important exponents of new Canadian classical music today. A screening of Trevor Meier's latest thought-provoking documentary 'A New Economy:' a film that explores the central idea of 'collaboration versus competition,' will directly follow to end off the night. A cash bar, and light snacks shall be provided.

All proceeds will go towards the first in a series of professionally produced music videos of contemporary string quartet works by up-and-coming BC composers, in conjunction with the Jean Coulthard String Quartet Readings.
